From random reddit message to V3

The beginning

Original founders Thiti and Garrett met while working at BlockAero - a web3 aerospace company in Thailand. Both were active in web3 and blockchain technology and Garrett had recently became fond of a little blockchain called Algorand.

When Thiti and Garrett were both on Algorand they noticed that, even though the DeFi landscape was small - just Yieldly and Tinyman - the ability to track assets in wallets and in DeFi protocols seemed like it would be a great benefit to the community.

Kieran joins the team

While Garrett and Thiti were putting together designs and first versions of Algogator, Kieran was just beginning his Web3 journey in September 2021. While browsing reddit he saw a post from Garrett about an Algorand portfolio tracker.

DMs were sent - Kieran was brought on board to help with the business and project management side of things.

V1

On November 27th, Algogator V1 went live to the world. A simple interface to show assets in wallets, net worth and Yieldly and Tinyman DeFi. Reception was overall good but with some obvious feedback - mobile responsiveness, more tracking and resolving some bugs.

V2

Fast forward to January 2022 and we launched Algogator V2. A change in UI and additional defi protocls added, plus updated NFT galleries and transaction tracking. V2 would be live for 10 months, being updated regularly by Kieran and Garrett.

V3

After 6 months of development, the loss of Thiti to his day job(s) and a new baby for Kieran - Algogator V3 finally launched on November 8th 2022. Nearly a year after V1. A massive update in functionality, infrastructure and potential. We expect V3 to be live for many years to come.
